Rare Vintage Polish Art Glass Conch Shell Bowl by Jozefina for Krosno

A magnificent Art Glass Shell, hand made in Poland by Jozefina/Krosno 

This is a high quality Vintage Art Glass Conch Shell shaped bowl.

This bowl has been hand made by a master glass craftsman manipulating molten hot glass by rolling the edges to create the shell shape. The rim has also been hand pulled to create the little ridges jutting out. Because these pieces are hand made by several artists, they will vary in look - no two will be exactly the same.

The underside of the bowl has a streaked look. The bowl has a solid weighted base and the pontil is polished.

The inside of the shell is a beautiful creamy gold colour with the outer lip a rich white.

The under side curls over along one side of the bowl and shows the earthy tones and pattern of a sea shell.

It is 47cm long and 38cm wide.
