Large Pink Tone Hand Blown Art Glass Platter by Australian Glass Artist Matt Lockwood

This beautiful piece of Art Glass was hand blown from translucent cranberry glass with a spiral feathered decoration The footed bowl in signed to the base by Australian Glass Artist Matt Larwood. 

There is a polished pontil mark to the underside of the base where the glass blowing rod was snapped off after the piece was completed. The base is clear and allows the coloured section of the platter to be shown at its best.

This decorative platter is a feature piece and would make a magnificent gift. 

About the Artist

Matt was one of Australia's leading glass artists. He worked as a Glass artist for 17 years, and was an Artistic Director of the Jam Factory in Adelaide for around 17 years, during the 1990's. He no longer works with Glass but still resides in Adelaide.
