About the Artist
Peggy Warren (1921-1995) began potting in Melbourne in the late 1950s. In 1977, she moved her studio to the Gold Coast where she continued working as a potter until 1995. She made wheel-thrown earthenware marked with a painted 'Peggy Warren'. A few pieces were marked with her married name 'Glathe'. She also taught pottery in Melbourne from 1960-1977 and continued teaching from her Gold Coast studio. This information comes from Geoff Ford's Encyclopaedia of Australian Potters' Marks.
