Vintage vase designed by Manfred Frey for Kaiser Porselensfabrikk in Germany in the 1970s. The vase stands on four small feet and is decorated with horizontal relief of waves broken by a vertical row.
The biscuit porcelain or bisque is unglazed, white porcelain on the exterior treated as a final product, with a matte appearance and texture to the touch. It has been widely used in European pottery, mainly for sculptural and decorative objects that are not tableware and so do not need a glaze for protection.
Delicate designs from Kaiser-Porzellan are a special experience for the senses. Each hand-made piece has its own unique personality.
Kaiser company began as a small porcelain-finishing business in 1872 and has grown to a global company Kaiser-Porzellan in today.
The vase is marked with AK Kaiser W Germany. 677. M. Frey
